Wow thats an OLD pic!........they were still called red funnel in those days and not wightlink.
It looks a bit rough too! I thought they canceled crossings if the wind is over a 9!

Very reminiscent of the scene when trying get off the car ferry from Portsmouth once when the cat was cancelled, and they came along side Ryde pier in a force 8.  |
