I took these this afternoon at 17:30 Spring Low Water. A lot of sand exposed.

It's amazing on a big tide like that isn't it ? - looks like a desert, but when I think of the range of species I've had there over time .....

flat as ,you can see why you get the flatty's there ...... yes, and I'm convinced it holds quality stingrays in the summer. A number were caught from the beach there last year to 18.5 lb, but I'm sure there are bigger ones (got beaten by a real biggun once ). Sadly, I missed out last year (had some good thornbacks), but it's a bit of a mission for me this year. You can see how they would be attracted - loads of fairly shallow, undulating sand warmed in the sun, lots of worm, crabs etc. I was told by a local marine biologist that this stretch of shore regularly records the warmest temps on the south coast. Role on summer !

deffinately stingray ground,as you know nice period of hot sill weather the stinger's love thewarm muddy,sandy shallow's
