Slumming it/Cheapskateing it at the IOW festival

After confirmed reports of Sir Macca staying at the farringford hotel i decided to have a trip out to the bank opposite the festival site to see if he was going to put in a surprise performance as it was announced that `some special guests ` were paying a visit.
So i headed of with my sister and my bro in law some `MAD` friend of my sisters and a rucky full of cider!
There was a loads of people at the bank, the sound was great but some cleverly placed flags obscured most of the stage. Loads of boats showed up to listen and we had great fun watching party goers trying to anchor ....it was chaos!
Well in short macca didnt show.....the `guests` were the red arrows! They put on one hell of a show. Amy whinehouse was REALLY good with her sound coming across crystal clear. Needles to say i ended up with the wrong bunch of cronies consisting of my brother and co and ended up staying both nights as the weekend dissolved into a blur
I vaguely remember the rolling stones playing but i couldnt get near the bank for a good view as it was heaving with bodies. I had a good weekend though

the red arrows are awsome arnt they! we have them ever year in weymouth for the carnival. some of the stuff they do is breathtaking!
