Some nice photos there......no cod??? Nah. I`m really not the cod fishing type Have a pb that`s 25lb, but caught that one when I was eleven years old, and does not have any digital pics of it. To catch really big cod you`ll have to go up north. I live at the south east side of Norway. I`m hoping to get a trip up there either this summer or the next. large coalfish, cod and halibut... dreamin...

Nice pics mate, What bait did you use for that lemon sole. They get a lot in the nets round here but we can never seem to catch them on rod and line.

I basically just use cooked shrimps for the lemon sole, but sand/lugworms works great, as do blue mussels. Small hooks, size 4-6, is a must, as they have fairly small mouths.. I prefer using a simple running rig with for instance the KF Line Slida that veals got and a short hook trace (4-5 inches) with 4-5 beads on. I have had the most luck with the Hiro plaice beads, bought at Veals. The trick is to fish active, lots of movement in the bait for a short time, then let it la still for some seconds. Find places where the bottom is a mix between rocks and sand. They often have short, intense feeding periods, so you can get loads of them in half an hour, and then nothing for a couple of hours... My best day after them was lat year i april, when I landed 20+ in one day...

Great photos oz ;D That Dab is huge ....and you have made me want to go Lemon Sole fishing ;D (Never seen one caught around these parts) Yup, the dab is a nice one, just about 4 oz from the norwegian record. Had I caught it a couple of weeks earlier, it would have been the record i guess. It was thin as paper after spawning... I`ll give you another lemon sole then Not as big, but they are beautiful fish...
