Hi Chalkie I have a 165 which I think is great, but if I had the money I would have gone for a 175. I have a mate who has a 150 and loves her to bits as it is simple to launch and recover single handed and as the trailer has no brakes, maintenance is kept simple. I think it is all down to horses for courses and what you can tow, car wise, and how far you want to travel. Downside of all these style of boats is that you have no real shelter like a Pilothouse/cabin style even when you put the extending cuddy up. Regards Dave

As you say Dave horses for courses, I notice that when the weather turns nasty the warrior's seem to stick it out longer than most, their owners obviously have every confidence in them. A close mate has a 175 & next to my 17 footer it absolutely dwarfs it on the trailer, the massive freeboard is so re-assuring when afloat, if I was buying another boat around that size it would be one of a few at the very top of my list. I think the price tag is a little rich but when warrior have such a good name & high demand that they can get away with it.
I would love to see a fair test against the likes of similar craft - predator, raider, endeavour etc carried out by the one experienced skipper on the same day in the same conditions. I have read reports on these other boats, they have came out very well & the packages cost alot less. Most reports available are by owners or biased magazines, it would be good to see a fair test by an independant group.
