Hello all, I'm trying to identify the part that holds the rear bearing in place. The pic shows the front half of the hub with the new rear bearing in place. The piece Im trying to find a name for gets banged into place upto a lip that leaves a small void for the bearing to float in. Any ideas?

quite possibly Karl, its some kind of collar that bangs into that recess that stops the bearing falling out, I expect its the only part you cant buy individually & we're end up buying a complete hub!!

i get what you mean now. the part you need is called a circlip,it fits into the hub stopping the bearing race from falling out.

yes, but its not what I'd call a traditional circlip (wire that spring & clip into place) this needs to be beaten in this has quite a gauge. Worth ago though mate, I'll see what Indespension has to say tomorow, cheers Karl
