hello lads
i have just got a new gearbox for boat after all four bearings went in the last one
i have fitted the box along with new drive plate and new bell housing
when the engine is running one of the oil pipes is vibrating like mad and there is only oil in one of the pipes ,the one that is vibrating
in the owners manual it shows the oil pump around one way for anti-clockwise engines and the other way for clock ,(my ford runs clockwise) and the oil pump looks like it is set for anti-clockwise
any one know hoe to turn the pump around or know whats the problem with the oil pipe vibrating
cheers dave

the vibrating pipe is probably caused by the oil pump trying to pump the oil the wrong way through a check valve (one way valve)
just a thought can you swap the flow and return pipes around at the pump?
