i just bought a cobra vhf should be here in week or so. bin looking at cp300i plotter looks great lots features 7" screen $400 thats wi p&p going to get it if mi rad comes.

The standard horizon gear is very good.Had one of their plotters in the past. Don`t forget to get a C-Map cartridge for it or you wont get any detail. Don`t worry about the expence of a "Max Cartridge". Just get a "Nt+ Local" cartridge for your area, about £45. If the Cobra vhf you bought is one of the cheap handheld type then beware that they only put out 2 watts. You need at least 5W to be any use. Some of the Cobra handhelds do put out 5w but are about £100 so i would check. If it is one of their fixed units then you should be fine. Don`t forget you need a licence for it, the test is easy.

its a fixed unit mid ranged mr f80b . $228 seemed ok . were do i get the licence. kez
