Buying a Boat?

HI people i live in Portsmouth and am looking for an old cheap boat, rowing boat/tender about 8 to 12 foot long and to be able to fit a small HP engine on it.
Will be using it for tipner/pochester area, is it worth going to a boatyard or does someone know where they sell second hand boats. I have looked at The Boatshed and Boats and Outboards but wondered if there was somewhere more local?

might be an old dingy at work , the guy who owns it now has a bigger boat so il ask him if he wants to sell it , but it will need a coat of paint and bit of cleaning up

Sounds good but depends where your work is as i have no trailer
to pick up

I've picked upto 14 footers on / in a van if you have one to hand Eddie + a couple of mates to help you with it!
