For piece of mind i am going to have an Aux Engine, but what size ?
Its for a Fastnet 17 Dory with a 50 4 stroke on the back.
So any advice on size / make ?
Thanks.

Being a fourstroke main engine would go for a fourstroke back up! Thing is they are heavy for your size boat! if you had a 2 stroke main engine would have said a 6hp 2 stroke. But being 4 stroke would opt for a 4hp mariner saildrive which has a charger built in to give you power as well. Andy
