i purcased a carbon beach caster and i find them better than the other types do to you guys find this the same

Sure - most good rods are made of carbon now - its a very strong material but light, allowing rods to be much slimmer and lighter than they once were. Having said that, I've still got a Conoflex hollow glass fibre bass rod that I built about 20 years ago . Its still a nice actioned rod that I still use for heavier bass or flatty fishing from time to time !

Good choice Chalkie , they are much lighter aren,t they. Will improve your casting too.
