I bought the Tiga kit a couple of years back for around £120 & I cant fault it. Beware though I bought it after reading several good reviews but after owning a speleo the Tiga's appearence & feel of the actual headlamp piece does seem a bit plasticy & cheaply done. In actual fact its not its obviously done to be light in weight on the head. The beauty is that a replacement battery costs around £15 & there should be no need to replace within 5 yrs minimum. The charger has the advantage of charge on demand so you can leave it on & it will only accept a charge when the charge level drops so you cant cook them like the speleo's The lamp reflector itself does seem a bit large, you can pull off a brilliant human lighthouse impression! but it the beam can be dipped which for baiting up & all night angling requirements is more than enough. I only use the full beam when lamping rabbits & other than a search light I couldnt imagine it ever being used on an average night fishing session.

Agreed, it is like having a lighthouse on your fore-head but for bass fishing its left at home & the only light I have on is for baiting up & thats done with my back to the water. The normal beam is'nt to offensive & the only time the high beam comes on is when a rabits 30yds through the scope of my air rifle!

I use a red led light option on my head light for bass fishing it is the least visible light source.Same as in my cabin you can still see out the windows and see inside when it is dark brilliant stuff.

Does the job is all that matters My headlamp has a very dull yellow light as well as the bright (about a tenner)one with the led's I use the dull one when fishing close in. If Ive got the mrs with me I walk up the beach a bit and cast and walk back.

Have been using a variable L.E.D. lamp for the last three years - I think they are now around £6. Also use rechargeable batteries in my lamp so never need to buy fresh. Cannot really understand why folk need motorcycle headlamp style stuff, I can see all I need to see with LED's and less chance of spooking inshore bass.
