I use brasher boots the material ones not leather, they are very good for walking and rock hopping. I've also had berghouse (spelling) boots which were good but they needed wearing in. If you get walking/hiking boots deffinately,deffinately get yourself into a shop that sells a few brands and try them all until you find one that fits really well, there's nothing worse than bad fitting boots and long walks. oh and make sure they are gore-tex.
