Got some more the other day ( you can never have enough) and it seemed thicker and not as good quality. When i snapped it it the end was all stringy....bad batch, or have they started to compromise on their quality ?

No, i got given 2 reels by a guy at work. I did get some from you the other day when i realized how bad this stuff was, have not tried it yet though.
