Been looking at them myself damo, decided to go for the primo match instead though, phoned zziplex direct and they told me this was slightly softer and more suited to me!

looks like they gave you spot-on advice!, yes the primo match is slightly softer, with the hsm having a little more power mid-tip.i've fished with a primo match and you won't be disappointed, its a fantastic rod for general fishing, happy with three hooks at 20 yards as well as belting out a crab bait when those smoothhounds arrive!

How much did you pay for it as UK Hooks prices seem to be dearer than other dealers?, Summerlands who use the same rod builder(Chris Dance) are about 30-40 quid cheaper + free delivery.

Free delivery to the Isle of Wight? That's usually the killer over here

Always nice to buy local though, I got my Primo Match from there, got to see it first hand before buying. I know if anything ever did go wrong I could just pop down and see them there.

have to agree with you mate, mike at uk might be more expensive, but when your splashing out £300-400 on a rod i want to be able to pick one up, maybe even try it out BEFORE i buy, there's no substitute to getting your hands on a rod with a reel attached to see if it suits you.

what rings do the summerlands rods come with?
If its fuji greens then they are 30 quid cheaper straight away.
Shaun graham even brought his rod in for me to take down the beach and have a cast with before i bought 1, that to me is looking after the customer ;D
