decided to replace my trusty goldsie match tripod with the MTI,first impressions are....BLOODY HEAVY!,apart from that it seems a bit more well made that the almost identical shakespeare one, heavy yes,but sturdy so far, bearing in mind the old goldsie has seen some use,i did notice a lack of a hook to hang a bag of sand/pebbles on to help keep it on the beach during those selsey/hill head smut sesh's,will have to remedy this before may. i'm not going to say wether it's better than goldsie's yet, simply because it has a looooong way to go to take that crown, time will tell ;D

i no longer own the MTI,went back to good old goldsie....thoughts on the tripod,if your looking for a well made but heavy, pricey tripod you won't go wrong with this beauty,BUT,i feel its over engineered for the job,i reckon you could carry 3 goldsie's to one MTI,but if you need adjustable legs and back leg then this is the one provided you don't have to walk far, trace bar a bit fidley, again goldsie has the better design, simple and fidle free,as is the leg kit for goldsie ;D
