Hope you have a winch on that beach..... do they still have the trawlers on the beach at Hastings ?

Yes got 2 power winches to get us up and down the beach .the trawlers are still here but in dwindling numbers but it is apparently still the largest beach launched commercial fleet in the uk. Unfortunately for us its about 200 meters to the east of where this pic was taken. Appart from trawling ,most of them use trammel nets as well, litterally miles of them. We have one of the largest commercial sole fisheries in the uk here but the way they hammer them in the spring its a wonder theres anything left.

Interesting Richard, Bought my first boat from a guy in Hastings but had to give it up due to bad health. Picture here shows the Seahog Hunter at his home the day I bought it. Nice boat but took off the extra keel bands as I was not beach launching or recovering. Dave
