Mate runs an aqua fish off the beach at hastings with a 90 honda outboard ,nice boat but i think it would be better with an inboard. Wilson 24s are superb would have one myself if we could get it up and down the beach. ( mate is in a different club ,got better winches than us).

cheers for that rich just wish I new the beam on the aquafish 23 does look a bit narrow under 8 foot and to narrow for me.Will ring them monday.I know the new Wilson has an 8.4 foot beam which is not bad at all.But fuel wise the aqua should give better milage and good sea keeping except on beam sea deep v ees tend to rock & roll. Regards Andy

I always thought the Wilsons free-board was to shallow. Credit given though, they've stood the test of time, is the ride much softer than that of a regular dory in a sea. They are very good price -wise though. The Aqua-fish does look an impressive boat, its the mini-charter boat appeal! Ive never seen one in the flesh but it is deffinetly one that I would look into when Im ready for my next purchase. Around the mid twenty foot mark, my favourites are the Duver 23 & the Pirate 21 (MI-21). Theese are at the more expensive end of the market. However, on boats & outboards website there has been a scottish seller offering pirate 21's, bare hull & cabin for decent money if you have the time to see through a whole project like that.

the duver was trying to ancour in flat calm of fort Victoria [fair tide run]and somehow got the rope over the gunnel so when she dug in it rolled the boat. The owner sold it after this

I had actually driven that same boat and it went like a dream and seemed very stable, the capsizing was deffo due to the silly amount of (large) people aboard Luckily everyone concerned was safe , but i still think of the brand new Volvo that was in it..........
