Here are a few pics of my first and current boat named 'Beaky'............sounds familiar that! She is a great little boat and copes suprisingly well in a medium to heavy sea..trust me I have had to come back across the solent in a 5-6.........new pants please!! If i had my own way I think I would keep this little gem of a boat for ever, but with a growing family I think that something bigger will be on the cards in a couple of years time. She is fitted with a honda 15hp four stroke and will put out 18-20knots with two people and fishing gear.........and will go from ryde to sandown and back for under 8 quid!!............best bit is it can be launched single handed......dont even need a car. Well.....have to agree that your Leeward 13 is certainly the business and its seen some decent fish over the gunnels in the last year. Its a perfect size to handle and as you say it copes very well with a bit of sea.
Have to also say..what a great name for a boat!!

Yes, they are hard to get hold of, have been asked more than once if I would like to sell it.........have heard they hold their price well too. Why did they stop making them??

The company was based at goldern hil fort and mick Pragnell sold the buisness to a mainland company who continued to make the leeward 18 which still hold's a good price. not sure if they still did the 13 but you hear nothing anymore. Will ask lee what happened when I see him next.
