it is crap for wind you need hurst castle wind speed went to 65 knots last night and gusting 58 knots now force 11 www.weather-file.com/hurst/

Hmmm, quite impressive although I do prefer the cameras to view partly landscape/seascape and partly sky - gives a better idea of what is happening. For example, the Hayling surfcam (not working at present) shows a view along the west beach towards Spithead. Thus one can see how rough/smooth the sea is and what the weather is at same time. There is one more item they might add to IOW weather site which I believe is fairly important: - Sea Temperature. Last year when the sea temperature really dropped off, the fishing went dead as a doornail for several weeks.
