in days of old when knights were bold and mono was just invented ... i learned the art of the "dropper knot" and fished all day contented... .........please tell me ..if your fishing a fixed position snood....does this knot in say"60lb" main line......REALLY weaken the line to the extent that we have to use "crimps"instead ? .. or are crimps that much better...? compressing a metal tube into the nylon....o yer..!!! just a query...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have just been joining a few lines using the `albright`knot shown on that site for the first time and i must say its VERY compact and you can trim it VERY short....jobs a goodun!
