Ok.....so I know there not as dense as lead and certainly arnt bio degradable and there not stream lined for distance casting ..........but just wondered if any fellers have tried to make em before for ruff ground marks....to save a few squid. I made loads and lost loads at places like Samphire Hoe - I lost about 20 weights in a comp there last year - dont need to cast far at all, just something to take the bait down to the bottom ! worked perfectly and saved loadsa dosh !!!! Used 1" waste pipe as a mould with garden wire for the eyes ......

I have done it with egg boxes, works out at about 3 oz.
