what are your views on using them for the beach? rucksack need to carry a chair seat box you don't have to but are they to cumbersome to carry any distance.

When I drove every where I used a box,and used to take every thing but the kitchen sink. Now I go by bus and train it is remarkable how much you really need and I could get away with a plastic shopping bag .

I use a bullet proof old canvas rucksack. There's no chance you be able to carry a big tackle box down to some of the more secluded marks on the Isle Of Wight. Come to think of it, you're more likely to be able to outrun the locals wearing a rucksack...

Rucksack every time. I often walk a fair way - much more comfortable. If I'm in the mood for luxury I've got a small folding chair I can strap to my rod quiver.

I have a seat-box with the backrest conversion and I rarely use it. I sit on a blue mustad bucket and carry my essential tackle in my Imax over the shoulder number. I would go for the light easy carry option any-day, so small rucksack and bucket it is.
