OK, lots of opinions on beach casters but what about your recommendations for a boat rod suitable for inshore work, in other words not deep water stuff, and from a small dingy. I have some cheapies at the moment but not happy as they are so spongy, about 7ft I suppose? Cheers all

suveran 4-6oz uptider suveran 12-20lb suitable for the bay, I use the suveran uptide 6-10oz which does my inshore, offshore, shading, uptiding the lot its a fantastic rod which has been abused to the max!

good rods them that is what I have too,but on a cheaper note what's that new rod I have nick as that is cheaper and a great inshore rod!

yes its the pirrana, the leeda northstar is better value and a action that you usually pay £90 + for these are in sandown scotties at the mo worth a bend!! £40rrp

shakespeare ugly stick 8-12 lb class, i got mine from a boat jumble £25 new and it is used for inshore flounder fishing and all my wreck fishing ;D (except congering). in one day i landed a 20lb cod and a 19lb 15oz pollack on it.
