Hi all - need a new beachcaster (mainly for sandy area's) the one i've got is a bit on the soft side apparently - there's a joke there somewhere but probably not printable! ;D - I'm 11.5 stone so i don't want one that will rip my arms off but i do want one that i can give some welly. Fs or both if poss. suitable for overhead / OTG still learning so don't really want to pay more than 80notes tops. Any idea's thanks - clive  |

Hi foxy, we have been having a long discussion about casting and rods on the thread "Learning to cast". Suggest you have a glance through it. Personally I still rate the Ron Thompson 12ft carbostick you should be able to pick one up for £60/£70 by hunting around and it would be ideal for a gent your size.
