Good luck make, sounds like you're doing some good preparation so you're chances are increasing all the time. The only other suggestion is not to skimp on your main-line. One of my rays was a bugger to shift when it burried itself in the sand!
Also don't understimate the power of pout as bait, they're the daddy for bait over here.

The bait list is getting bigger by the minute..........lol So.....pout flank with a dash of worcester sauce and the latest is....sandeel /crab hotdog..... Here we go................ I was told today.....to head and tail a sandeel thread it up a 4/0 and laccy wrap....... then take 1 frozen crab ,...cut it across and open it like a sandwich wrap it round the eel and laccy it up and nip the top hook through the parcel. Its a good job ive eaten........... those bloody Rays have it too good.......lol anyway dunno what ya thoughts are on that mouthful but i bet the scent would be good. Gaz  |
