Hi all, can anyone tell me how to free off two sections of carbon rod -bottom & middle sections? it's a new rod and all 3 sections are tight - i didn't think i had used too much pressure but i can't get them apart. clive

THANKS MATE, bloody brilliant, - i've been trying to part them for ages- then i tried your method and 1 pull and it's out- but that's another story. That's what i like about this forum- the amount of collective knowledge/ experience is amazing and you all seem to be willing to share it. Thanks again clive

No worries mate, I think I read the method in sea angler years ago and has parted many a stuck rod.

Want to make sure it doesn't happen again? - Make sure that the join sockets and section ends are absolutely clean, Slightest bit of muck or oil/grease will have it jammed up again. I am not recommending it but I have put a very thin film of baby powder on my section ends which seems to help.

Eccles is so right.........baby powder is the way to go aint had anything stuck in my end since I started to use it. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D another trick when sections stick due to moisture,,,rain etc but be careful though.....put a coat on the floor hold each stuck section either side of joint and "knock" butt end gently onto coat on floor. as you knock twist stuck joints in hands.....vibration loosens joints ,,,so,,,should pop loose. works everytime on my pole sections.
