Just interested to know if any of you lads use these type of beads on rigs at night to attract anything particular. Ive had some samples sent to me in 4mm/8mm once activated under torchlight.......they are brilliant Im gonna get some purely for fascination value...PM me if you want the supplliers name.....he sends a sample pack for free. But more importantly......who uses em already.. Gaz

Not much experience with them myself, though i have put 1 on each snood on my latest 1/0 scratching rig ( i got some free ones too). I found they didnt charge that well (or hardly at all for that matter) I heard a dim glowstick attached to the rig body is good for whiting. I`m sceptical to be honest and think a good bait is the best attractor. I dont think the bling thing has ever been proven but if you catch on a bling rig then who cares? Good luck with them mate.

I know Adam (reelbargains) uses them & a match angler mate with fair success, I have some but not used them as yet, gotta be worth having them in reserve though, might make the difference one night, you never know!

I never really used them until recently, but i tried 10 luminous oval beads on each hooklength during a poor session and hooked a 1lb 12oz sole. would I have caught it without? We will never know. solehunter, are you talking about the beads I sent you?

Light does attract fish, especially at night, but whether glow beads are strong enough in shoreline murky waters is anyones guess.

Think the bit about catching more anglers than fish is about right.
