bought a northstar and after one use it now does not fire up.has anyone else had this problem.

check mantle or chance battery it might have been sat on the shelf for a while

yes mate it is 4 years old but only used once by me.new mantle and battery i cannot get it going.coleman wont get back to me either.

is the electric ignition fireing if not try lighting it up with a match
if it dont light then there is no fuel coming through and the brass tube that spits out the fuel is bunged up ,you can try and clean it or buy a new one ,i have just done my one on a coleman double mantle.

thanks dave i took it apart at work and found the pin completly thick with burnt oil.i forgot when filling it i used me old hedgecutter fuel mix which caused me the problem.at least i know how it works now.i will light it when i get a new mantle many thanks dean.

I also have a coleman northstar lantern , and only used it once as well, ill have to get it out the weekend and fire it up !!!!, ill let you know? ?? lee.
