Hi All
Just got my first multi, Penn 525, nice reel apparently, haven't used it yet.
Just loaded the line, TEKLON 0.25mm, my question is how do you secure the when finished fishing, there isn't the little clip as with FS reels
Cheers

I just do the same on a multi as I do on a FS.......... 60lb shock leader being thick mono anyway sits on the spool attached to a link clip on the end. Dont attach it to anything........... When I go fishing again I put it in free spool and use the clip to guide the line through the rod rings. attach to rig and away ya go.!!!!!!!!!! Gazza

Gazza i do the same, always have a clip link on the shock leader (i'm lazy). but.... when you go the thread the line thru the guides, don't put the reel in freespool, if the reel is anything like fast, you'll birdie before you start. best way is to simply back off the drag and pull thru, the resistance stopps the spool over running. oh, and if you're new to it, start off with just the smallest amount of endfloat (side to side) if any, and mags on full !!
