Evening chaps , well a little tip if you havent used this already , getting fed up with memory free hook snoods ,kinking and generally knotting i was givien this bit of advice , use fluoro carbon you can bend it knot it and just scrunch it up , give it a little pull and hey presto its as straight as a die again , great stuff , i have just brought 2 spools 15lb and 20lb in clear and in 20 meter spools, a tad expensive at £4.50 a spool but worth it i think !!!!

Nah your right Cucks, Fingers and I both use Amnesia and once it's kinked, it's kinked even though it's good stuff. Perhaps Grem sells it?? (LOL) Anyway, ta for the advice, I think I will try some, Hope it ties well???

Been using Flouro myself recently - pretty stiff and kink free so can recommend it! Don't know about the "invisible to fish" bit though - thinks that's a marketing ploy myself!

Oi Slippery, you didn't tell us that (perhaps you did but I wasn't listening). I shall expect a free sample if we meet up on Sunday instead of the pint you once offered LOL

Just had a look at ebay - Some guy is doing 20 lb BS for £2.50 inclusive (20 metres) and Discount Fishing Ireland are doing 175 yds of Berkley Vanish 20 lb BS for £10 inclusive. The latter seems the better bargain but do I want 175 yds??? Going to do some more hunting now.

0.41 mm apparently but just found an even better bargain: Game Fishing Supplies are doing 250 yds of 17 lb 0.33 mm Berkley Vanish Transition for £10.50 all in. This sounds just perfect to me but I don't need 250 yds. Would anyone (except Gremlin LOL) like to take some and we could split the quantity and cost?

Beware, sometimes lines on e-bay are not what they say they, as I'v found that out to my cost. I recently brought some spools of Ultima A SuperSnood, only to fine out that it was just ordinary line. I now stick to Sunset Amnesia.

If you don't get the right deal on ebay, you need to let ebay know and they will give the seller a hard time. Only once have I not had gen stuff on ebay, I complained and was given a full refund. Most gen sellers are very concerned with their rep and do not do you down in my experience. Anyway, I nearly always buy from well established sellers and have no probs so I guess you were just unlucky blackie.

The flouro carbon is good stuff, nice and stiff and heavier than mono. If you need to straighten some take one end in each hand and draw it from side to side across your knee (with trousers on) a few times and that should make it nice and straight again.

I shall expect a free sample if we meet up on Sunday instead of the pint you once offered LOL Ha Ha - my secret weapon is revealed (NOT)! Bought the stuff from Decathlon in France - was only a few Euros for 50M spool, seems fairly good quality, though not used any others yet!
