hi only joined to day so for iv been out on 10 trips the first thing i got was a sundrige cross flow suit for my second trip im now looking to get my self a set of rods and reels id like to get the good stuff as the skippers is oftern old and batterd what would you recomend i go from bridlington area also north wales

hi its me again iv been told to look at a ahimano charter special as its a lever drag reel and it comes with centrifugal breaks so it could be used for boat casting too how do these work i assume its like what is on my 7ht but how do you adjust them what do you think to it as a reel

i think ill need to get light rod 12/20 main rod not fishing for the pot just fun if lead needed alows heasvey rod 20/30 wreking /heavy leads uptider 2/8 a backup allround what reels to go with them also id like a list of general must haves ill spend up to around £1000

If something has got a lever drag than you don't want to be using it for uptiding IMO. Something like a Daiwa SL30 or Penn 535 is a better choice.

I use a team diawa 2-8 uptider and an abu 7500c and cant fault them.
