I'm thinking of going to Hayling again and keep trying to find a nice sized bass we all would like to catch, unless any of you have hered reports of Gosport maybe even selsey that may change my mind. Thanks lads any reply will be of help

Hi Eddie . I've heard reports of a few sizable bass coming from Stokes Bay at Gosport (not to me unfortunately ). The Alverbank seawall near the middle of the bay seems to have produced around high water, during or after the recent blows. Fish taken close in. The area between the inshore rescue station and Gilkicker might also be worth considering. Or, if you felt like straying a bit further along - Hillhead cliffs might be worth a try. This has been a bit of a banker mark for bass, for me in the past. I've rarely fished it this late in the year for them, but with the rough seas we've had and exceptionaly mild weather - who knows ?
