Seemed to be all chrome, but did resemble the reel in your rod holder and not a standard slosh reel. The fella sed it was the first time on view.....so we didnt get a great look at it..but it did look the Bo**ox..!!! Not sure if theyll repeat the fishing prog on Sky Sports 3 but ill look out for it. incidentaly didnt see anything on the web about it tonight. Gazza

I know a guy on here who has two, he got them from the States, lovely reels made from a solid chunk of metal. Perfect for rock fishing and getting your tackle up to the surface. Expensive though!

Gazza... Thats a typo, should be Saltist, they have been about in the Uk for a year or two now, great boat reels. They are similar to the Saltiga but with cast frames rather than machined from billet.

that is some serious dough for a reel. i use penn 535's and 525' for boat fishing, they are bullet proof. my reels get some serious abuse,if they start squeaking i just dunk them in the sea job done. ;D today is the first time they have been stripped down since i got them and they still look like new inside. personally i cant fault them and at £70 each they are a bargain

it looks vary much like a shimano torium 16.but daiwas version and the prices are not far from each other i personally prefer the shimanos drag it is smooth as silk.the yanks use the 16 and 20 as beach reels apparently
