well michael , lidls were flogging them last year for a fiver , and a friend of mine brought a couple .... ok for the river bank , but for sea ..... i would say a big no no !!!!

I bought one from Lidls to use on the field when i go casting. Its OK for that but VERY flimsy. I wouldn't fancy its chances on a beach.
Also becuase there is no weight to it, it topples over easily which is not helped by the positioning of the legs which hold the head in the middle rather than over the front 2 legs like a decent tripod does. Its more like a converted camera one.

i would recomend just to go for a decent tripod spend abit of money ur better of going for a decent tripod than risking ur rods and reels being scratchet and or worse broken...

I don't know how people have the nerve to sell those Lidls things for that kind of money,they aren't even worth the fiver that Lidls charge!
