Hi All
I am thinking of purchasing an MTI tripod as my old one has finally given up after many years of service.
Do any of you have one, if so, is it worth the asking price? Fish mainly Chesil and at 8ft fully extended would/should clear the breakers in roughish conditions.
Thanks

MTI is an excellent rod rest a bit heavier than your usual rest's but if your fishing in strong winds then this is a good idea. Can get your rod tip up very high and still very stable, I wouldn't use one if you had a long hike though as they weigh a ton

Many thanks for your input, I'll see if I can get to a tackle shop who sell the MTi and have a look at one. No free time for fishing until end of Feb.
Tight Lines & thanks again.
