I've upgraded from lashing my rods/tripod together with rod bags to bungie chord.
It's the future.

I've upgraded from lashing my rods/tripod together with rod bags to bungie chord. It's the future. I had some scaffolders elastic ties these were the nutz but lost em all over the years.. like a 5inch bugie with a adjustable lock. I have had accidents with them bungies, hurts like hell when they snap around cold hands ;D that does bloody hurt and when the rubber wears off the hook they scratch your rod up

do they over exaggerate the 8 rods do they do a smaller one that can hold up to 4 rods and a rod rest and possibly a small tent

I not came across a good one yet! My titan one's still going strong after 9 years but the design is awful. The open top ones (like the titan) require careful practice to prevent breaking rod rings when your tucking other rods or brolly's in and the side open ones (gun sling styley!) the zips usually balls-up within the first week. Titan used to sell a rod sling, like whats being described with the bungy but with an over the shoulder strap.

I have used the Salt one for the last year (the one with the pull out bottom) and it has been excellent! Its been up and down the back of the IOW (who knows how many times) covered in sand and mud with out a problem, takes your rods-brolly- gaff- rod rest and bits and pieces easy, and the zips still work fine. I bought it because I use 15 feet rods, 7ft 6ins sections and it covers them well and fully zipped up. Its not a protective bag, just a holdall that works fine. My only problem is with the carrying strap, its not an anti-slip type so beware it will slip off your shoulder unless you have it over the head style (though no good with a rucksack obviously) hope this helps?

Does the salt or Daiwa ones allow for the rods with multipliers attached or is it just the rods?

Got mine from Lidl's last year for just £10. Two pockets for reels, three strap in sections, two other long pockets for whatever plus decent adjustable shoulder slings all made of heavyweight canvas like material - why pay more?
