I have used the Salt one for the last year, great bag, well built and will take as much as you want to carry in it: But its a rucksack and rucksacks are meant to be carried on your back so Shakespeare where's the bloody padding!!! believe me its no fun wearing it with a 2 litre flask jambed against your back, or anything else in there for that matter most uncomfortable. I know it is quite a cheap bag (£20-ish) and to have padded the back panels would have cost more but it would have made it so much more comfortable to use for long hikes. I do like this bag but because of the above my next bag will be the imax 35, a mate has one and he has not had a problem with it.

I know what you mean about stuff digging into your back! I solve this by putting my tackle tray on end against the bit that rests on your back, nice and flat! No more reel handle massages for me!

I know its overcomeable m8, my poncho softens it, but they should have incorporated padding into it. Remember some idiot at Shakespeare design this large bag, perhaps they should ask some one at Osprey how to make a Rucksack.
