My wee boy bless him wants a rod and reel for his 9th birthday. can any one recommend a decent junior rig for £50 ish. I was thinking of getting him a garden fork so he can dig bait but the wife wont have it. any ideas guys.  |

get him a carp rod mate
will get him started and will throw a 3/4 oz lead no probs
and one hell of a fight with a large smutt on will have him sweating a bit

cheers boys was looking at that route as the carp rod is ligh and you can pick up a shimano fixed spool cheap enough.

Just had a look ...its an 8 ft powerstick , very light ...and never used ...i also have a little f/s reel to go with it ... pm me your addy and the lad has an extra prezzie .......
