I'm looking to get a pair and I'm after some recomendations.
I've found that my neoprene chesties are great in the cold weather but are not nice to walk any distance in and even worse to carry..
I'm not sure whether to get decent soft rubber ones or to get neoprene. If I go down the neoprene road I'd want the boot bit lined to. anybody got any views as to what they are like to walk in and any recomendations?
Cheers
Steve

Cheers Steve I bought some 'rubber type' wychwood ones (only cheap), bought my actual shoe size and they are nice fitting, easy to slip on and off and comfortable for a hike up the beach in. no probs at all, recommended.

I recently bought some Snowbee granite balastic nylon chesties and they are worth every penny (£65). A lot lighter than neoprenes, the boot is neoprene lined and they are easy to walk in with a great grip underfoot. You also get the benefit of not having that stagnent sweaty feet smell of neoprenes if they are left in the boot for a while.... I would recommend a pair.

I'll second that recommendation and if like me you have outlandishly large feet they do go up to size 13

Have you boys not heard of breathable waders? Wouldn't be without mine. If you're walking long distances, especially over rough terrain then go for a stockingfoot wader with separate boots for a better fit and better support.

The breathables are not for me, too expensive to be scrambling over rocks.. Cheers Steve
