If they are anything like my Abu uptider no probs mate. Had it for 7 years now absolutely no probs and tough as old boots. That seems to be a dam good price too.

Sx - 12ft9in Match type rod, Rx - 13ft6in general fishing, Xp - 13ft heavier fishing. Personally the RX version is the compromise between the other 2, the XP has more backbone in it for casting/rougher ground fishing, Clive Vedmore (welsh shore team) designed the XP for Bristol channel fishing, whereas ole ratty Yates had a hand in the others. For the price good value, altho i heared they might be ending them soon!!. |

i have an SX. lovely rod!! smashing rod for clean-mixed ground. good cating action and a nice tip which gives good bite indication.
i wouldnt call it a match rod as such, more a good rod for all round beach fishing. used mine up the channel and it coped ok with the tides

been trying to get an RX cheap off fleabay for a while but the punters keep bidding silly money . ive asked loads about the RX from the sellers and they claim they are a great genuine allround rod but are selling em cos Abu are bringing out a new model. Gazza  |
