the 1st model(now they have a slightly different model which is superb) thought these were superb until from power casting(with bait) I opened 2 up!! really dangerous mentioned this to my local tackle shop and they informed me that they have been changed slightly(uprated).
My thought is, should they not be recalled due to safety reasons, this is potentially lethal if it was a car suppose it would be different?! anyone else managed to break one??

I've never tried them, I've only recently seen them appearing (in Sea Angler). I use impact shields at the moment, are imps + snap links a better alternative for big baits? Do they charge a disproportionately large amount for a tiny bit of injection moulded plastic? Are all the ones on sale now the "new version"? Steve.

The only ones I have seen are new types on the shelf but i imagine there are still a few mk1 model pkts floating around. They still are expensive £3.20 for 10 i think? thats why you dont expect them to be shite.... they dont like hooks over 6/0 unless you use fine wire but they are superb for distance ray traces and alike........ put your bait in the slip stream of your lead perfect and release 100% of the time the new ones get a big big thumbs up but if i bend another one of these then straight to bad reviews it shall go!! no good for big baits n if ya clipping down big baits ya casting to far over here.
