I live in Sandgate and have fished around that area for 20 odd years. i'm hoping to learn a bit about boats as i put my one together. I also no my local area pretty well and have taken some nice bass from some of the rock marks (best last year 8lb 12oz) So later in the year if any one wants to meet up i can show them the best spots. but for the big fish its whole squid and normally only one bite a night. a guestimate on finishing me boat. another year then into Folkestone harbour, onto the Varne bank and hopefully some real whackers. Cheers Steve

yes, I no the charlotte well but haven't been on her for ages. last year or so the boat fishing has been a hike to lymington to go wrecking on the sundance. thats how i got the bug to own my own boat.

Hi bigeel, Welcome,I see you come from sandgate, I usually try to make it down there a few times a year when spinning for bass, usually near the rock groynes by the w c at the back of the ship pub, not only a good spot for bass but also the best pint ( at the ship ) in sandgate. Might see you down there some time.
