I heard today that there is a short period in February when the flounders semm to accumulate at Hayling before spawning. He said that behind the funfair and car park used to be the spots.
Can anyone confirm this?

Going back a few years it was always January and most of them were a bit on the small side but you had the odd better one too.
On night tides you could catch up to a dozen amongst other bits (pout , whiting ,dabs) Your mate was right about the mark too we used to fish at Beachlands then.(by the fair)
