Looking to get either a Century carbon metal BB 15ft or SRE 3-pc 15ft in Ex/Vgc or a Zzipy Primo Synchro/ Profile/M4 again in Ex/Vgc for p/x or swap with an Ex Condition Zzipy LT Bullet 14ft(6ft4 butt,8ft tip),zircon rings,diamite tip, whipped dark maroon(almost black),silver edged,shrink wrapped butt. Only used twice for casting(taped on rings),then tackle shop built it,blank alone was 290.00. Pm us if any interest, Cheers..

Sorry Im not responding re your post but coulnt help noticing your nick and the convo I had to day. Went to a large Fishing fair in Farnborough Hants and got talking to a fella from tonys tackle of Eastbourne............ They had all sorts on display but 95% Zzip gear. When I explained me lower back prob and trying to get a Through/actioned rod to make casting easier he advised me of 1 called the 50/50 at a mere £300+ squid which may suit me. I told him of a Century CCC LD that had been also suggested to me and the guys on here giving it a good right up............ .............well............you,d have thought Id threatened to rape and pillage his sister......he absolutely caned it ..!!!!!! Dunno if he wos Terry Carrolls luv child ....lol .....but had I as a customer been willing to wanna buy one I think he,d have blown a gasket........talk about ZZiplex narrow minded.....lol Gazza  |

Yes mate that was probably Tony(numpty) Kirrage of Tonys tackle, hes a bit pro Zziplex even tho dealer for Century as well. The rod he was trying to sell you is his version of the zzipy 50/50 (the dreamcast) which costs 399.00 rrp 299.00 special discount price. The zziplex 50/50 comes in 2 versions Std & Match and retails at about 285.00, personally the std is probably the better buy, the match is ok, but avoid Tony,s version its just a rip-off my mate parted his money for 1 and sold it after a couple of weeks,for someone who advertises been building rods for 30 yrs its was average build quality, compared to others. Funny how you see more 50/50 Dreamcasts than zzipy 50/50,s on e-bay  . Quite a few people have had trouble ordering from him,been waiting months for rods when other dealers e.g. Gerrys, Summerlands & Uk Hooks supply in days. |

Even tho Century rods are my pref choice i just dont like the CCC or LD versions, just something about them!!, had a go with the new Kompressor-S the other day, now am tempted into getting 1 in near future...

Hi, Got a Century Kompressor WR300 New & Unused (special-order) 4 sale/swap on here, only letting go as to many rods that do same job. Also Greys mk1 UK Made SRX 13ft6in rough ground rod used twice in Ex/As new cond & a Daiwa Emcast Adv 4500 f.spool reel ,New & Unused in box with spare spool. Live at Southsea nr Marine barracks. Im a tackle tart as you can tell!! ;D |
