Thinkin of fishing soutend pier can anyone tell me whats being caught there, what bait is best, rigs, is it open for fishing all week, how much do they charge, can you fish it all day & night, do you have to be a member to fish it, is there parking near to it, what my name is , & where do i come from? ?? !!!!!!! lol

Done Southend pier the other month, and the other fourm I belong too has many Southenders on there. Codling, Small Dabs & Whiting are being caught - poss Cod too. Access during the daytime is £3.75 all day, peir closes @6 You can buy a all nighter ticket, but must be NSFA registered and costs a whopping £45 Parking for the day will be £7, literally all along the sea front. There are 2 bait shops nearby, one almost opposite the peir entrance, one approx half mile to the left as your looking at the sea. You can by lug - best ring them in advance to book it, but they stock frozen mackrel/squid etc. 2 or 3 hook flappers seem to work well

Thanks for the info vifferrider, all sounded good till you mentioned £45 for a nights fishing was gonna go there for a long weekend but at that sorta price i'd rather go to wales or corwall !
