Aha.................started fishing in my Kayak now, added another species to my overrall list but will continue to separate the three categories. When going Kayaking the priorities will be to see how many species I can get apart from when the Winter Mullet and the Autumn Bass are around. Happy days. Have done a brief report on my site for my first trip out in the Yak

Spoilt sod! Done well mate - even by Alderney standards, 18 species in a day is some going.

Even more spoilt now Pete...............I've not added any more species as I've hardly been fishing as it is so busy at the mo but did mange some Bass and pollack in the kayak yesterday. Best Pollack went...............................................................................................................................................................................15lb 1oz!!! On a plug on a spinning rod.....awesome sport!

It was Andy. I'd finished my session, been about half a mile out in some turbulent conditions where I normally do my Bassing, on my return I got to a shallow rocky spot where I can't take my Raider but had some previous good sport with bass in the Kayak. I was only a couple of hundred yards offshore in around 20' of water. I was still shaking about it yesterday! The fish was in great condition although no belly content, two big slabs of fillet come of him. As a wreck fish he would have gone 20lb.

Not bloody likely, we have had Autumn for 2/3 weeks now, cost us a fortune in lost tourism/lost sales. Today again we have 30 odd mph in winds, 20lb of ragworm just about to croak as well.
Good to hear from you

Added another two species to my overrall total in the kayak last night, target species was tope but fished with a lighter rod too for bait and scratching around in case the Tope never turned up. Despite live and dead baits of every concoction the Tope never materialised but caught 6 species that I'd not caught in the yak before including a Trigger! Dick and Mat the lads I was with managed an Eel and a Huss as well. A great night. The night before I was on a cliff mark, only 1 Bass and one good fish dropped.

Going to be doing lots of shore fishing this week as it is our Annual Angling Festival. Fluked a Smoothound last night so that takes me too 32 species for the year. Go to my website and the latest reports pages where I will be updating regularly, how regular depends on how much fishig I do!! :-)
