Whats scad (Horse Mackerel) like for bait? Reason I'm asking is that on my back from a session at Hayling last night coming over the Bridge there were a couple of people fishing for Shad's using feathers. You could see loads of them swiming in the lights and they were pulling them out thick and fast. Was tempted to get my spinner out with some feathers myself to try - but was 3 am in the morning and was knackered.

Great bait, nice and boney to stay on the hook well. I would swap a bucket of mackerel for one of scad.
