any flounder about ,hope to do a bit of fishing this wk end,let me know,as no ones fished calshot or hamble ,for a while,open to ideas

We were only saying at work the other day, that there are very few flounder these days. Iv not seen 1 for 2 years, down here in the southeast. Hope someone can put you on to some fish tho

A few about in the soton are , weston shore , cracknore hard and of course hythe , maghouse had a double shot of flounder a couple of weeks ago at hythe , pretty rare at the mo !!!!!

Myself and Stevebbh had a few (literally) between us at Hillhead cliffs around the Christmas period. I'll probably try there on Sunday.

I always have another rod out with smaller hooks/bait while vainly bass fishing, but out at a longer range so`s not to disturb the close bait to much. But if i`m BASS FISHING, i`ll lob out both for bass, as i do when sole fishing. Its great fun targeting more than one fish i think. Fishing 1 or 2 rods for bass when they are a bit scarce, can to me, be a bit boring. `Variety is the spice`.. and all that!

(according to catch reports) lee.

manged 1 flounder and 3 1/2lb bass 2 weeks ago in hamble , also had quite a few schoolies, but the flounder do seem to be thinning out now . going to try the river again on sunday. il let you know how i get on

Definetly scarce Pompey way, 1 or 2 will usually come up during a normal session but no more when your actually targetting them at marks that used to guarantee bigger bags.
