Although i have quite alot of stuff in my rucky, i do use all of it at some point. 3 reels (1 spare, dont ask!!!) tackle box rig wallet spools of snood line weight box knife, sharpener and bait board dry box (tide table, tape measure, size chart, matches, bells, starlights). small tool kit (very handy) bait.........
and thats about it. I also have a separate rucky for spinning sessions, but i do have the odd bubble float and lure in my main bag just in case! Anyone going to own up to taking anything else?

Heh, good post! At least 15 5oz leads (in case I go of the back of Wight) 3 spools (shockleader, 25lb (pennels) and 14lb (rotten bottom line) All the usual tackle. Tip lights (always forgetting these, leads to a string of expletives) Scales, camera, extra carrier bags (for all the fish I'm going to catch!) 2 reels, extra carrier bags to lash my 2 rods to my rod rest for easier carrying. A camping seat (with obligatory brew holder) is also part of my kit. Flask 'o' tea and a pocket full of cake (just normal cake, junkies!) Bit of old clothing for a rag. I felt a right git using one og my nippers old sleep-suits! Also a mobile phone, sometimes used as a poor camera. No wonder I pull muscles all the time For spinning I normaly go bareback (fnar) and use pockets instead.

I am to far from the sea to dig for it, so I pick it up when I get there. I fish mostly at Deal Pier and in the summer Brighton Marina

I believe in travelling light (unlike my fishing buddy who always carries around at least 5 kg of junk) and I am very rarely caught out: Four rigs, four weights, knife, bogey rag, forceps, two reels, that's it. Means I can and often do cycle to the beach (not in the weather we 've had lately though.

i dont want to sound lazy but ready mades have trasformed tackle boxes,no need to carry huge amounts of tackle just grab a rig wallet and of you go.plenty of torches as well i get that of me dad he had a torch in every pocket like golddust on a dark beach.always carry 2 pairs of scissors,am i the only one that takes a loo roll with them.never know if you get a runny nose and all that.

I carry both.......junk and basics.... A carrier bag makes an excellent weighsling for catch and return, dont like hanging them by the gills.
